Mission Statement
Welcome to Kingstone Brewery. Our passion is Real Ale. We are a 4-barrel microbrewery set in the picturesque village of Tintern in the heart of the Wye Valley. The brewery currently produces a varied range of 8 ales including our award-winning Classic Bitter (2* Gold award at the National Great Taste Awards 2008).
Strong believers in classic brewing methods, we aim to create a true artisan product, adapting traditional recipes to suit modern palates. From a hearty IPA to irresistibly quaffable bitters, we offer beers for every occasion. All our ales are unfiltered, unpasteurised and bottle/cask conditioned. This time-honoured process develops an ale with a fuller flavour, finer bubble and more subtle texture.
The ingredients of our traditional Real Ale are few: mineral water drawn-up from the local hills, carefully sourced yeast, grains and hops, and most important of all - time. Our Real Ale brewing leaves little which can't be recycled: lucky cows from a neighbouring farm enjoy the spent mash as a highly nutritious supplement to their diet!
